You build a draft on nights like this. Julian Pearl had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Panthers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
