The board had answers; the Ravens had Simon. Grade: F. The Ravens did not so much draft Julien Simon as overpay for him, 263 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.
Judkins at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
The veteran additions, Zion Johnson chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
