Adam0831 DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall
C+

TradesB-
FutureB-
The jury is out on the Chiefs. For now, C+. The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named wide receiver, a need the Chiefs walked right past.
They are betting Thomas proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Klare steal is the beam this whole class leans on. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with tight end the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Hit on R Mason Thomas and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
R Mason Thomas
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher, a steep price for the projection.
Pick43
Rnd2
Dani Dennis-Sutton
A reach on Dani Dennis-Sutton in slot 43; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick74
Rnd3
Max Klare
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Max Klare at pick No. 74. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick112
Rnd4
Anto Saka
They took Anto Saka at par in the 112th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick150
Rnd5
Aaron Graves
They paid a round early for Aaron Graves in the 150th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick177
Rnd5
Jaydn Ott
Jaydn Ott at No. 177 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
