Draft Grade — Ravens

FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. The tape said wait; the Ravens did not. Steve Linton went at the 239th pick, a good 176 picks before the board was ready. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
However the rest shakes out, Daniels at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value.
Pick54
Rnd2
Jonah Savaiinaea
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jonah Savaiinaea in No. 54. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99
Rnd3
Luke Kandra
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the Round 3 slot is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick113
Rnd4
Benjamin Morrison
Benjamin Morrison at pick 113 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick135
Rnd4
Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland at slot 135 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick148
Rnd5
Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at the 148th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick174
Rnd5
Ricky White III
No edge and no loss on Ricky White III in the 174th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick176
Rnd6
Damien Martinez
Value said wait; Damien Martinez in Round 6, Pick 1 says they were not listening. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick177
Rnd6
Nick Martin
Nick Martin in slot 177 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick188
Rnd6
Daylen Everette
Daylen Everette at pick No. 188 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick197
Rnd6
Kaimon Rucker
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kaimon Rucker. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick211
Rnd6
Thor Griffith
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Thor Griffith well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jalon Daniels
You do not let a quarterback like Jalon Daniels reach pick 234 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
Pick239
Rnd7
Steve Linton
They left a pile of value on the table to take Steve Linton this early at No. 239. It fills a real need, too.
