The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. Every board in the league had Gore Jr. lower, and that gap is the story.

The Jones steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
