Ejw DRAFTING FOR THEJets
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Jets
Overall

FutureB-
The Jets let Ransom fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Lathan Ransom tumbling to the Jets in pick 156 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Fannin Jr. left real value on the table behind him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Mason Graham
In pick No. 7 they get a wrecking ball inside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick42
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
They went early on Harold Fannin Jr. in Round 2, Pick 10, and the value did not follow. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick73
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
They liked Ozzy Trapilo enough to skip the value, taking him in the 73rd overall pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick110
Rnd4
Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond in No. 110 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick145
Rnd5
Kyle McCord
Kyle McCord in the 145th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick156
Rnd5
Lathan Ransom
You do not let a safety like Lathan Ransom reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick186
Rnd6
Ty Robinson
They robbed the room for Ty Robinson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick207
Rnd6
Jake Briningstool
They barely believed it either: Jake Briningstool still on the board at pick 207. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
