The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Jets watched Darius Alexander slide 30 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Membou reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
