You could see the war room lean forward. Jaylin Noel at No. 168 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
