The Steelers finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a C+.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Steelers committed. Garrett Nussmeier is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

They will need Nussmeier to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Slaughter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The Steelers indulged a want in Slaughter while a need in interior defensive lineman and edge rusher stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

So much rides on Garrett Nussmeier that the real verdict is a season or two away.
