Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Eagles: B-. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Eagles would have aced it. Anthony Lucas at pick 68 is 32 spots clear of where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Getting Wright where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Romello Height
In pick 23 they get a premier pass rusher, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54
Rnd2
Dani Dennis-Sutton
A wild overpay on Dani Dennis-Sutton in Round 2, Pick 22, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick68
Rnd3
Anthony Lucas
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Anthony Lucas well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick98
Rnd3
Emmett Johnson
They did well to land Emmett Johnson in the 98th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick122
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
A tidy little value on Bryce Lance in slot 122, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Davison Igbinosun at pick No. 137. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick151
Rnd5
Nadame Tucker
Nadame Tucker in the 151st pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick179
Rnd5
Kaleb Proctor
A tidy bit of business in the 179th overall pick, where Kaleb Proctor graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick201
Rnd6
Dae'Quan Wright
The board fumbled Dae'Quan Wright all the way to pick No. 201, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
