When a board-topper like Jeff Caldwell slides to the 246th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Broncos did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Halton pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
