A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bengals a B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bengals spent Round 7, Pick 10 on Jack Pyburn, a name most had 56 spots down the list.

The Neal pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
