The Steelers won the night they stopped Chestnut from sliding. Grade: B+.

The Steelers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Duce Chestnut fell into Round 7, Pick 17. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots went begging.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
