The Chiefs fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Sam Roush, 39 picks early at No. 118. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Neal value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The Neal pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver, quarterback and other spots.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
