When a board-topper like Zakee Wheatley slides to Round 4, Pick 27, you do not overthink it, and the Lions did not.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Hallman lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
