Jam2113 DRAFTING FOR THEChargers

Draft Grade — Chargers
Overall

The Chargers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chargers spent pick 123 on Tanner Koziol, a name the board had a full 31 spots lower.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Matayo Uiagalelei
In pick 21 they get juice off the edge, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick52
Rnd2
Darrell Jackson Jr.
Darrell Jackson Jr. at the 52nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick83
Rnd3
Kaytron Allen
Kaytron Allen in Round 3, Pick 19 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
Pick123
Rnd4
Tanner Koziol
They reached a country mile for Tanner Koziol at No. 123, and the board is aghast. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick161
Rnd5
Isaac Smith
Good price on Isaac Smith in the 161st pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick204
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
A conviction pick on Trey Zuhn III at the Round 6 slot that the board grades a round light. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
