Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Bills, and a B to prove it.

Somebody in the Round 3 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Zachariah Branch, the No. 65 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The Foster reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
In the 26th overall pick they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60 Rnd2 Lee Hunter
A quiet steal in pick 60: Lee Hunter for less than the market said. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick91 Rnd3 Zachariah Branch
Somehow Zachariah Branch was still sitting there in pick No. 91, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun in the Round 4 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick166 Rnd5 Ted Hurst
They liked Ted Hurst enough to skip the value, taking him in the 166th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick220 Rnd7 Isaiah Nwokobia
Good price on Isaiah Nwokobia in pick 220, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick228 Rnd7 Bryce Foster
This one needs a full-page explanation: Bryce Foster in Round 7, Pick 12, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
