The Bears bet the future on Daniels. The board says B.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bears shredded theirs for Jordan Jefferson. He came off 62 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They banked enough surplus on Brooks to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while linebacker went begging.

For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
