Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bills spent No. 166 on Eric O'Neill, a name the board had a full 94 spots lower.

However the rest shakes out, Hill Jr. at that price is a win they earned. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
