Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

Nobody had Kyren Lacy this high, and it is not close. The Steelers reached 62 spots to get him at the 231st pick. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Jackson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Luther Burden III
In slot 21 they get a No. 1 receiver. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick52 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
They took Azareye'h Thomas at par in the 52nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick83 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
A slide stopped in pick No. 83, with Quinshon Judkins worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick122 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
Somehow Malachi Moore was still sitting there in the 122nd pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick163 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in the Round 5 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick225 Rnd7 Brady Cook
Brady Cook at No. 225 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick231 Rnd7 Kyren Lacy
They talked themselves into Kyren Lacy at Round 7, Pick 13, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick247 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
Cam Jackson at the 247th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
