The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That Milton pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
