FutureA+
The Packers lost the trade table, and the B- tells the story. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Junior Colson a full 41 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Barton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Kool-Aid McKinstry
In the 15th overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43
Rnd2
Graham Barton
Graham Barton at Round 2, Pick 11 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick79
Rnd3
Junior Colson
Junior Colson at the Round 3 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick82
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in slot 82 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
