When a board-topper like Tyler Shough slides to No. 198, you do not overthink it, and the Jets did not.

Every board in the league had Hemingway lower, and that gap is the story. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Jets clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
