Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Cardinals: B-. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cardinals did exactly that with Seth McLaughlin in pick 153.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In the 16th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick47
Rnd2
Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond at the 47th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick78
Rnd3
Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick114
Rnd4
Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill in Round 4, Pick 13 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick153
Rnd5
Seth McLaughlin
They left a pile of value on the table to take Seth McLaughlin this early at pick 153. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
