Draft Grade — Giants
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
The Giants turned the phones into found money: A-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Giants took Dominic Zvada a full 65 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Jaylen Waddle gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Bottom line, with Peter Woods leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Peter Woods
In pick 7 they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value.
Pick34 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane in the Round 2 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick102 Rnd4 Whit Weeks
Whit Weeks in pick No. 102 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick143 Rnd5 Logan Jones
By-the-book stuff, Logan Jones at the 143rd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick180 Rnd6 Darius Taylor
Fair-plus on Darius Taylor, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick188 Rnd6 Aamil Wagner
Aamil Wagner slid further than he should have, and the 188th pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick190 Rnd6 Duce Robinson
Duce Robinson at the 190th overall pick is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick223 Rnd7 Dominic Zvada
Dominic Zvada at the Round 7 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
