You build a draft on nights like this. Jalen Milroe had no business being available in the 160th overall pick, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
