You can hear the double-takes from here. The Jets took Jalen Thompson at the 240th overall pick, roughly 64 spots before his name belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. The Stroman steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
