Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a D-.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Robinson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
