The trade table was where it all came apart. The Cardinals shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Fernando Mendoza gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting Shelton proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
