Start where it matters. The Commanders took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. With cornerback and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. Landing Coleman that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
