The 49ers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B.

The Taulia Tagovailoa pick is the one that will follow the 49ers into the fall. They took him 35 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Torrence value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
