When a board-topper like Jawhar Jordan slides to the 249th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Powers-Johnson left real value on the table behind him. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
