Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Jalon Walker, the No. 24 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 55th pick.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They are betting Yurosek proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
