There is conviction, and then there is this. The Lions took Jalen Thompson a full 57 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, Ponds at that price is a win they earned.
