The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

Tracy Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with interior defensive lineman and tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Guerendo pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
