Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B

FutureB-
The Cardinals finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Cardinals spent their marquee pick on Michael Penix Jr., and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 1 of 8 of the wish list covered. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Michael Penix Jr.
In No. 4 they get the face of the franchise. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Kool-Aid McKinstry
In the 27th pick they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
