They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Jets' quarterback, full stop. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They are betting Tengesdahl proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
