Quarterback settled, Nix in the fold, and a F for the Broncos.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Broncos, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They will need Schlee to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. On value alone, Mustapha makes the weekend a net positive. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

In short, a weekend the front office will want to forget in a hurry.
