Draft Grade — Browns
Overall C+
ValueC+ NeedA- TradesD FutureB
Quarterback settled, Dart in the fold, and a C+ for the Browns.

The search is over. The Browns handed the keys to Jaxson Dart, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Collins. If Dart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

Hit on Jaxson Dart and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In slot 12 they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick13 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In the Round 1 slot they get a franchise quarterback, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick44 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
They paid up for TreVeyon Henderson at Round 2, Pick 12 when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
Pick76 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Alfred Collins reach pick No. 76 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick94 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Carson Schwesinger in pick 94. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick103 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
A reach for Hollin Pierce in the 103rd pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
