The Steelers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B-.

The Steelers went off the board in a big way for Riley Leonard, 101 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Winston Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The phones were where this weekend was really won. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Emeka Egbuka
In No. 22 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick53 Rnd2 Riley Leonard
This one needs a full-page explanation: Riley Leonard in Round 2, Pick 21, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick84 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
They robbed the room for TreVeyon Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick120 Rnd4 Barrett Carter
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Barrett Carter in pick 120, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick154 Rnd5 Kevin Winston Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at the 154th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick211 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
A tidy little value on Miles Frazier in pick No. 211, a step better than break-even. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick242 Rnd7 Korey Foreman
A wild overpay on Korey Foreman in pick No. 242, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick256 Rnd7 Shilo Sanders
Shilo Sanders at slot 256 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
