Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall

FutureB-
The phones sank the Dolphins this weekend: D-. The war room fell hard for Oscar Delp, and it showed at slot 105: 79 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.
That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
Spending an early pick on safety with edge rusher and interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In the 6th pick they get a rangy last line of defense at fair value.
Pick19
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In the 19th overall pick they get a workhorse for the backfield, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick22
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In slot 22 they get a matchup problem out wide. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Garrett Nussmeier
They took Garrett Nussmeier at par in pick 37, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick39
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Anthony Hill Jr. at No. 39, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick68
Rnd3
Malik Muhammad
A tidy little value on Malik Muhammad in pick No. 68, a step better than break-even. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick75
Rnd3
Rod Moore
A curious use of the 75th pick. Edge rusher and interior defensive lineman needed the pick; a safety in Rod Moore did not.
Pick95
Rnd3
Whit Weeks
No drama and no debate, Whit Weeks went about where he belonged in the 95th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick96
Rnd3
Brian Parker II
Brian Parker II at pick 96 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick98
Rnd3
Nicholas Singleton
By-the-book stuff, Nicholas Singleton at No. 98 squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick100
Rnd3
Arch Manning
Somehow Arch Manning was still sitting there in pick No. 100, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick105
Rnd4
Oscar Delp
They talked themselves into Oscar Delp at slot 105, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick144
Rnd5
Jaden Greathouse
They paid a round early for Jaden Greathouse in Round 5, Pick 4, more than the board wanted. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick218
Rnd7
Lawson Luckie
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Lawson Luckie well ahead of where he belonged. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
