The war room fell hard for Jackson Hawes, and it showed at the 231st pick: 30 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

Getting Milroe where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Mike McGlinchey deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
