Grand theft in the 98th pick: the Eagles steal Muhammad and grade out a B.

The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Malik Muhammad, the No. 76 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Kadyn Proctor
Kadyn Proctor in Round 1, Pick 23 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick54 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
A slide stopped in pick No. 54, with Olaivavega Ioane worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick68 Rnd3 Max Klare
Max Klare slid further than he should have, and the 68th overall pick is lovely value for the tight end. The roster fit checks out.
Pick98 Rnd3 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad at slot 98 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122 Rnd4 CJ Daniels
CJ Daniels in pick 122 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick137 Rnd4 Malachi Lawrence
They took Malachi Lawrence at par in the 137th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick151 Rnd5 Drew Allar
They read the board right and Drew Allar was the payoff at the Round 5 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick179 Rnd5 Bud Clark
Bud Clark at No. 179 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick201 Rnd6 Miles Kitselman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Miles Kitselman at pick No. 201. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
