A franchise passer in McCarthy headlines a A- weekend for the Bears.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The Johnson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Bottom line, with J.J. McCarthy leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
