Draft Grade — Browns

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Browns: B-. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Browns shredded theirs for Kurtis Rourke. He came off 46 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Landing Henderson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Abdul Carter
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33
Rnd2
Landon Jackson
Landon Jackson in pick No. 33 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick67
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
Value with a capital V on TreVeyon Henderson in No. 67, a genuine coup. The roster fit checks out.
Pick94
Rnd3
Kurtis Rourke
Value said wait; Kurtis Rourke in pick 94 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick104
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Kevin Winston Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick179
Rnd6
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at the 179th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick192
Rnd6
Desmond Watson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Desmond Watson this early at No. 192. It fills a real need, too.
Pick200
Rnd6
Jason Marshall Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Jason Marshall Jr. at Round 6, Pick 24, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick216
Rnd6
Zeek Biggers
They reached into another round for Zeek Biggers, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick255
Rnd7
Jackson Hawes
By-the-book stuff, Jackson Hawes at pick No. 255 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
