FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B

FutureB-
The Seahawks let Hurst fall and pounced. Final grade: B. The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Ted Hurst, the No. 174 name on the board, sitting there at Round 6, Pick 32 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
If Crawford pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Olaivavega Ioane
In the 32nd overall pick they get protection for the quarterback, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick64
Rnd2
D'Angelo Ponds
A tidy bit of business in the 64th pick, where D'Angelo Ponds graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick96
Rnd3
Keyron Crawford
They talked themselves into Keyron Crawford at pick 96, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick211
Rnd6
Ted Hurst
The board fumbled Ted Hurst all the way to No. 211, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
