You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Trajan Jeffcoat in the 210th pick.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

The Zinter value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
