Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Ravens lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

Somebody took the Ravens to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They will need Zuhn III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Jackson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Olaivavega Ioane
In pick No. 18 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Romello Height
No edge and no loss on Romello Height in slot 37; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
Pick45 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
They took Caleb Banks at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick47 Rnd2 Eli Stowers
They went early on Eli Stowers in the 47th overall pick, and the value did not follow. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick49 Rnd2 Lee Hunter
The board had cheaper options than Lee Hunter at Round 2, Pick 17, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick80 Rnd3 Malachi Fields
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Malachi Fields in pick 80. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick152 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
The board had Domani Jackson higher than No. 152, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick160 Rnd5 Gracen Halton
A reach for Gracen Halton in the 160th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick172 Rnd5 Charles Jagusah
Charles Jagusah in No. 172 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick173 Rnd5 Trey Zuhn III
Value said wait; Trey Zuhn III in Round 5, Pick 35 says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick249 Rnd7 Eric Gentry
Eric Gentry at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick252 Rnd7 Noah Thomas
They paid a round early for Noah Thomas in slot 252, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
