Jam2113 DRAFTING FOR THECardinals

Ewers should have been long gone. The Cardinals pounced, and earned a B-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Quinn Ewers tumbling to the Cardinals in the Round 5 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The cost of the Conerly Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
In the 16th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick47
Rnd2
Derrick Harmon
A slide stopped in slot 47, with Derrick Harmon worth more than the price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick78
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at pick 78 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick114
Rnd4
Jamaree Caldwell
A reach on Jamaree Caldwell in No. 114; the board had better options right there. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick153
Rnd5
Quinn Ewers
They barely believed it either: Quinn Ewers still on the board at the Round 5 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
