Thrash should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jamari Thrash at pick 182 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Frazier pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

The veteran additions, D.K. Metcalf chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
